Blurdle ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use Blurdle and how it is used.
Blurdle stores the following data locally on your device only using device storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers:
Blurdle uses third-party services that may collect data from your device. We do not sell any personal data to third parties.
Blurdle uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and share the following data with Google:
This data is used for advertising purposes and app performance measurement. On Android, you can opt out of personalised ads by going to Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".

Blurdle uses PostHog to collect anonymous analytics events to help us understand how the game is played and improve the experience. PostHog collects:
No names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information are collected by PostHog. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.
If you grant permission, Blurdle sends a daily reminder notification at 9 AM to play today's puzzle. To enable this, your device's push notification token is used locally. No notification data is shared with third parties other than the platform notification service (Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, APNs on iOS).
You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
Blurdle does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information directly.
All locally stored game data (streaks, scores, stats) can be deleted by uninstalling the app. Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of from us directly.
To opt out of personalised advertising and request deletion of your advertising ID data from Google, follow the steps described in the AdMob section above.
Blurdle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Blurdle is operated from India. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively regarding access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. As we do not store personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly through your device settings or through Google's and PostHog's own privacy controls.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
